Food entrepreneur and business owner, Charlie Bigham, and other speakers (TBC) will talk all about ultra-processed foods. We will find out why our supermarket shelves are still groaning with addictive crap that cause obesity and health problems. We will look at what we can do to stem the tide of sugar, fat and salt and how they are affecting our gut microbiomes. ​​

TALK 13.
Sound Waves - Changing the Soundtrack of the Ocean
Steve Simpson, Professor of Marine Biology & Global Change will take us on an adventure in the world of underwater acoustics and will show us how we can use sound to reverse some of the ravages of climate change, overfishing and pollution.
We are delighted to be collaborating with the University of Bristol on this event and to be able to offer it for free. The event is part of FUTURES, a UKRI-funded programme of activities and events throughout the year that celebrates research across the South West.
