🗣️What started as a vigorous intra-Altered State debate in @henandchicken about politics and the zeitgeist has developed into us picking our favourite current tomes.

That in turn morphed into us listing our Altered State ‘Book of the Month’ and we’ve launched the whole thing on our website because it’s a lot of fun and we really like doing this.

We are acutely aware that we’re setting ourselves up for accusations of grandiose pseudo intellectualism, but we’re OK with that. Plus: we love an independent bookshop, who doesn’t?
